July 08, 2009 - CHITRAL (APP) – Four Chitrali passengers were shot dead when they were travelling from here to Peshawar on Monday night. According to police report, a Toyota coach carrying passengers was on its way to Peshawar from here on Monday night when some unknown armed persons signalled to stop the vehicle near Bajawar Agency, and on the pretext of search operation, they opened fire only at passengers. Those who killed were identified as Syed Hussain s/o Syed Ameeri, Syed Anwar Hussain s/o Syed Ameri residents of Gram (Karimabad) Tehsil Lutkoh, Jamshid Ahmad s/o Muhammad Khan resident of Shogram and Abdul Jalil s/o Qadi Khan resident of Kosht district Chitral. Meanwhile, the DCO Temergara said that the bodies of the ill-fated persons were dispatched to Chitral for autopsy. The reasons behind this gruesome incident could not be ascertained.
