Afghan refugee abducted from Drosh
PESHAWAR (APP): An Afghan citizen kidnapped from Dhab village of Tehsil Drosh some 45 kilometer from here, Drosh police told APP here Tuesday. According to police station Drosh Haji Muzaffar Khan, an Afghan refugee, hailing from Afghanistan was living in a rented house at Dhab village since November this year and in the midnight some unknown armed persons knocked the door of the house. When Haji Muzaffar Khan opened the door the unknown armed persons abducted him.Local people in neighbors of abducted Afghan refugee Haji Muzaffar alleged that he was kidnapped by extremists of Afghanistan hence District Police Officer Chitral Sher Akbar Khan denied the allegations and termed it as a result of their family dispute. DPO Chitral when asked to comment, he informed this agency said that Haji Muzaffar Khan had family dispute with Nooristan tribes of Afghanistan as a result they abducted him. There is no chance of entering of extremists in Chitral, he said. Police Station Drosh has started investigations and also lodged FIR. It is worth mentioning here that it is the second case of abduction (kidnapping) of Afghan citizen from Drosh area. Earlier, one Afghan citizen Akhtar Jan Kohistani who was serving in Afghanistan as consultant for Ministry of rural development and rehabilitation as well as having nationality of United Kingdom and served in BBC Pushto service, was abducted from his in laws house and was taken by the armed persons to unknown areas.
